The Facility Management Professional (FMP) credential sets the industry standard for ensuring the knowledge and competence of practicing facility professionals.
The Facility Management Professional program consists of four courses providing a robust platform for you to enhance and demonstrate your FM knowledge. Each session includes classroom instruction, comprehensive print materials that may be used as a constant desk reference, and required online exams. Earning the FMP will help you prepare for expanded leadership roles in your organization.

The Facility Management Professional is a knowledge-based credential, which means you need to pass an online exam for each course to earn the FMP.
There is no prerequisite experience and education requirements for enrolling in the program. However, some working knowledge of the industry is recommended.
To obtain the FMP Credential, you must complete four required courses modules and a corresponding 50-question online exam – assessment on IFMA website.
Once you’ve passed all four exams with a score of at least 75%, you can submit your FMP application to IFMA.
