APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)

APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) was formerly known as the APMP and is designed for those who see project management as a critical part of their role.

It establishes a solid foundation in project management behaviors, skills, processes, and tools.

It is ideal for those, with a few years’ experiences in project delivery, who are seeking to consolidate a structured approach to project management.

APM Project Management Qualification (Association for Project Management – PMQ) holders demonstrate that they have an exceptional understanding of project management principles and how to successfully monitor and control a project.

A core focus is placed on project management concepts and processes in line with the Association for Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge and PMQ syllabus, including budgeting and cost management, conflict management, communication, and leadership.

PMQ is recognized both nationally and internationally as a premier Project Management qualification and the perfect indication of Project Management competency.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how these elements interact and how their project fits into their strategic and commercial environment.

What is PMQ?

The Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (IPMA Level D, SCQF Level 7) is a knowledge-based qualification that demonstrates general knowledge in all areas of project management.

The PMQ syllabus covers a full breadth of topics, from the essential management tools required to monitor and control a project through to the broader context in which the project is being managed regarding social and environmental issues, finance, organization, procurement, and people management.

PMQ is provided by APM (Association for Project Management), the most significant professional project management body in Europe.
